Shigezhuang, Wuqing
Shigezhuang Town is in Wuqing District, Tianjin, China. It covers about 45 square kilometers and sits about 12 meters above sea level. In 2010, about 23,309 people lived there, with a population density of around 518 people per square kilometer. The town borders Huanghuadian Town to the north, Chenzui Town to the east, Chagugang Town to the south, and Geyucheng and Matou Towns to the west. It lies on Tianjin’s western edge near Hebei, and the Beijing–Shanghai Expressway and the Beijing–Taipei Expressway pass through it. The name comes from history: during the Ming dynasty, ten families from southern China settled in the area, originally called Shijiazhuang, which later became Shigezhuang in the Qing dynasty. By the end of 2022, Shigezhuang Town had one residential community and 12 villages. The postal code is 301718 and the area code is 022. The time zone is UTC+8.
