Nate Lashley
Nate Lashley, full name Nathan Clark Lashley, is an American professional golfer on the PGA Tour. He was born on December 12, 1982, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, and played college golf at the University of Arizona. He turned professional in 2005.
A tragedy marked his early career when, during his junior year, his parents and girlfriend died in a plane crash after watching him compete in an NCAA regional event.
Lashley spent years on smaller tours before reaching the PGA Tour. In 2015 he played on PGA Tour Latinoamérica, finishing 8th on the money list with five top‑10 finishes. In 2016 he won three LATAM events, topped the money list, and earned the Player of the Year award, which earned him a Web.com Tour card for 2017. On the Web.com Tour in 2017 he won the Corales Puntacana Resort and Club Championship and finished 11th on the money list, earning a PGA Tour card for 2018. A knee injury cut his 2018 season short.
In 2019 Lashley earned his first PGA Tour win at the Rocket Mortgage Classic. He entered the event as the third alternate and won wire-to-wire by six strokes, taking home about $1.3 million. The win secured his PGA Tour card through 2021-22 and led to invitations to major events in 2020.
As of 2026, Lashley has 15 professional wins: one on the PGA Tour, one on the Korn Ferry Tour, and 13 on other tours. He lives in Scottsdale, Arizona, and is 6 feet 1 inch tall.
