Natasha Kaiser-Brown
Natasha Kaiser-Brown (born Natasha Kaiser on May 14, 1967) is an American sprinter who specialized in the 400 meters. She was born in Des Moines, Iowa, and during high school at Des Moines Roosevelt she won nine state titles and held school records in the 100 meters and the sprint medley relay (both records were broken in 2018).
She competed for the University of Missouri from 1985 to 1989, winning five conference titles and earning six NCAA All-American honors in the 400 meters. She was the Big 8 Female Athlete of the Year in 1989 and, in indoor track, won the 400 meters national title in 1989 with a school-record time of 51.92 seconds.
Internationally, Kaiser-Brown won a silver medal in the 4×400 meters relay at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. She also earned a silver medal at the 1993 World Indoor Championships and won two medals at the 1993 World Championships. At the 1991 Pan American Games she finished fourth in the 400 meters and won a gold medal in the 4×400 meters relay. She won the 400 meters at the 1994 national championships and was a member of the 1996 U.S. Olympic team in Atlanta. Her personal best in the 400 meters is 50.17 seconds, set in 1993.
She is married to Brian Brown, and the pair coached together at Drake University. Their daughter, Elle Brown, is a basketball player at the University of Missouri. As of 2022, Kaiser-Brown is the head coach of track and field at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri.
