The Last Porno Show
The Last Porno Show is a 2019 Canadian drama film directed by Kire Paputts. It stars Nathanael Chadwick as Wayne, a young actor who unexpectedly inherits an adult movie theater in Toronto’s Leslieville after his father dies. The movie premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 10, 2019 and runs 90 minutes.
The film includes Frank D’Angelo as Wayne’s acting coach. Critics gave mixed reviews; Norman Wilner of Now awarded it a 3-N rating and noted that while the film blends tender drama with edgy humor and shocking imagery, it also finds something meaningful in Wayne’s struggle to overcome a painful childhood. The score was composed by Devon Goldberg and performed by Morricone Youth.
In 2020, it was reported that the film’s explicit content made some streaming platforms hesitant to carry it. It is currently available on Vimeo On Demand.
