Sugaspott, born Shingirai Kaserera on 14 June 1984 in Harare, Zimbabwe, is a Zimbabwean rapper who grew up mainly in Mutare. He moved to London in 2005 to study and began pursuing music, making demos that initially didn’t take off. He built a fan base by selling his own music on the street and collaborating with unsigned artists, including Mizchif. His independent releases and shows helped him gain attention, and Tom Robinson brought his music to BBC Radio 6Music.

His lyrics focus on Zimbabwe and breaking stereotypes, aiming for non-violent, positive rap. Key milestones include headlining the main stage at Brentford Festival in 2010 and 2013, and representing Zimbabwe at Golborne World Music Festival in 2010. He also opened shows for Navin Kundra and The Dhol Foundation in 2009 and for Apache Indian a few months later.
