NA-45 (Kurram-I)
NA-45 (Kurram-I) is a National Assembly constituency in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. It mostly covers Lower Kurram and Central Kurram subdivisions of Kurram District and has about 198,618 registered voters. It was created from NA-38.
Election history:
- 2002 general election (10 Oct 2002): Munir Khan Orakzai, an independent candidate, won by 6,619 votes.
- 2008 general election: Munir Khan Orakzai won again and became the MNA.
- In some elections, voting was not held in this constituency due to security concerns.
- 25 July 2018 general election: The seat became vacant after the death of Munir Khan Orakzai.
- February 2021 by-election: Fakhar Zaman Khan of PTI won the seat.
- 30 October 2022 by-election: A by-election was held following Fakhar Zaman Khan’s resignation.
