N10 road (Ireland)
The N10 is a national primary road in Ireland, about 17 km long, connecting Kilkenny with the M9 Dublin–Waterford motorway. The route starts northeast of Kilkenny, runs around the city on the Kilkenny Ring Road, and heads southeast toward Stoneyford and Knocktopher. In 2008, upgrades to the M9 shortened the old N10, and a new western section of the N10 was built near Dunbell to meet the Ring Road further north. The old southern part of the N10 was downgraded to local roads (R712 and R713). Today the N10 ends at M9 junction 9 near Danesfort, about 12 km south of Kilkenny. The Kilkenny Ring Road now parts ways with the N77 to Durrow and Portlaoise and with the N76 to Clonmel.
