Mylochromis anaphyrmus
Mylochromis anaphyrmus is a cichlid fish found only in Lake Malawi. It lives in sandy areas about 10 meters deep. It grows to about 20.4 centimeters (8 inches) long. The species is listed as Least Concern by the IUCN. It is sometimes kept in home aquariums. It has had several other scientific names in the past, including Haplochromis anaphyrmus and Cyrtocara anaphyrmus, and it was described in 1973 by Burgess & Axelrod.
