Tilonia
Tilonia is a small village in Ajmer district, Rajasthan, India. It is famous for Barefoot College, a learning and development NGO founded by Bunker Roy. The village is also home to eShala.org, an online education portal started by Kartar Jat.
Tilonia is seen as a model for education, economic growth, and social improvement in remote areas. It is an education hub with strong programs at local schools, including students from Navodaya Vidyalaya and other village schools.
Most people still farm, but many villagers now work in jobs across government and public services, such as the Indian Army, NTPC, BSNL, Indian Railways, and the Police, at various levels from entry to senior management.
Tilonia has several day schools serving the community.
