Municipality of Maldonado
The Municipality of Maldonado is one of eight municipalities in Maldonado Department, Uruguay. It was created on March 15, 2010. It lies in the southern part of the department and covers 192 square kilometers (74 square miles). It has about 105,000 people (2011), roughly 55% of the department’s population. The seat is the city of Maldonado.
