Zsuzsanna Tomori
Zsuzsanna Tomori (born 18 June 1987 in Budapest) is a Hungarian handball player who plays as a left back for Ferencvárosi TC and the Hungarian national team. She is 1.87 meters tall.
Tomori began playing handball at age 12 and signed her first professional contract with Vasas SC in 2004. She moved to Győri ETO KC in 2007, where she won the Hungarian league and reached the Champions League final before leaving in 2010 after a dressing room dispute. She then joined Ferencvárosi TC for five seasons, before returning to Győri ETO KC from 2015 to 2019. In 2019 she joined Siófok KC, then spent 2021–2022 with Vipers Kristiansand in Norway, and returned to Ferencvárosi TC in 2022.
Tomori made her Hungary debut on 4 April 2006 against Norway. She has played in several World Championships (2007, 2009, 2013, 2015, 2019) and European Championships (2010, 2012, 2014, 2020) and Olympic Games (2008, 2020). She has over 190 national appearances and hundreds of goals.
In December 2015 Tomori suffered a serious knee injury (ACL tear) during a World Championship match, keeping her out for about eight months. She had multiple surgeries in the following years, including knee cartilage work in 2017 and an ACL rupture in 2018, and returned to play in early 2019 after lengthy rehabilitation.
Today she is regarded as one of the best players in her position in Hungary, known for her experience and leadership on the court.
