Holly Ransom
Holly Ransom (born 7 February 1990 in Perth) is an Australian public speaker, author and content curator. She studied at the University of Western Australia and the Harvard Kennedy School, earning degrees in economics, law and public policy. She founded Emergent, a public speaking and strategy company, and serves as a director of Port Adelaide Football Club and a trustee of The Prince’s Charities Australia. In 2012 she was named one of Australia’s 100 Women of Influence. She co-chaired the 2014 Y20 Youth Summit and became the youngest-ever Port Adelaide board member in 2016. In 2017 she was named by Sir Richard Branson as a nominee for Wired’s Smart List of future game changers. She has appeared on ABC’s Q&A and The Drum, and interviewed Barack Obama in 2018. She received the Anne Wexler Fulbright Scholarship in 2019, and the Eleanor Roosevelt Leadership Award from the US Embassy the same year, along with Women & Leadership Australia’s Victorian Excellence in Women’s Leadership Award. Her first book, The Leading Edge, was published by Penguin in 2021. She is the Pride Cup chair and helped lead Port Adelaide’s AFLW team steering committee ahead of its 2022 debut.
