Moonlighting (soundtrack)
Moonlighting: The Television Soundtrack Album is the 1987 soundtrack to the ABC TV series Moonlighting. It’s a soul album released by MCA Records and produced by Phil Ramone and Glenn Gordon Caron, running about 32 minutes. The record features songs performed on the show by Cybill Shepherd and Bruce Willis, plus the series theme sung by Al Jarreau (the Nile Rodgers-produced version used in seasons 4–5). The title track “Moonlighting” was released May 29, 1987 and reached No. 1 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart on July 25, 1987. Other songs include Chubby Checker’s “Limbo Rock,” the Isley Brothers’ “This Old Heart of Mine (Is Weak for You),” and Percy Sledge’s “When a Man Loves a Woman.”
