Whyalla Barson, South Australia

Whyalla Barson is a suburb of South Australia, located on the northern side of the city of Whyalla in the northeast corner of the Eyre Peninsula. It is named after Thomas Leonard Barson, who was the superintendent of BHP in Whyalla from 1933 to 1938. The suburb was established in 2011, with boundary changes in 2013 and 2014.

Whyalla Barson lies in the federal Division of Grey and the state electoral district of Giles. It is part of the City of Whyalla and also includes unincorporated areas of South Australia. The land is used for the Whyalla Conservation Park, the Whyalla Steelworks, and associated port infrastructure operated by Arrium (as of 2015). The Lincoln Highway passes through the suburb on its way to Whyalla. In 2016 the population was recorded as zero.
