Mohamad Shaharuddin
Mohamad Yusof Hafizi Shaharuddin is a Malaysian para-cyclist who competes in track and road events in the C1 class. He was born on 30 September 1997 in Kuala Kangsar, Malaysia, and has nerve issues on his left side. He is coached by Sallehudin Noh.
Mohamad has won medals at the Track World Championships, the ASEAN Para Games, and the Asian Para Games, and he represented Malaysia at the Tokyo Paralympics.
Career highlights:
- 2017 ASEAN Para Games (Kuala Lumpur): gold, silver, and bronze in events including the mixed road time trial C1–3, the 1 km time trial C1–3, and the road race C1–3.
- 2018 Asian Para Games (Jakarta): silver in the 1 km time trial C1–3 and silver in the men’s team sprint C1–5; also competed in kilo C1–2–3 and C1–5 team sprint.
- 2020 Tokyo Paralympics: fifth place in the men’s C1 time trial.
- 2020 Milton Track World Championships: competed in the Scratch Race C1.
- 2022 Track World Championships (Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines): bronze in the time trial.
- 2022 Asian Para Games (Hangzhou): silver in team sprint and bronze in the individual pursuit.
- 2024 Track World Championships (Rio de Janeiro): bronze in the time trial.
- 2025 Track World Championships (Rio de Janeiro): silver in the time trial and gold in the sprint.
