Luis Barreto
Luis Xavier Barreto (born 14 October 1980) is an Indian former footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He was born in Nuvem, Goa, and is 1.73 meters tall. Barreto spent his career with clubs including Dempo, with loan spells at Mumbai, Mohammedan, Kerala Blasters (ISL), and FC Goa, and later joined East Bengal. He made his I-League debut for Churchill Brothers on 19 January 2013, coming on as an 89th‑minute substitute in a 3–0 win against East Bengal. After the 2012–13 season, he tried to join the Indian Super League with IMG‑Reliance, but I‑League clubs objected, leaving him without a club for a period. Mohammedan signed him on loan on 30 October 2013. On 7 June he signed for East Bengal on a three‑year contract. Barreto also played in the inaugural Indian Super League season with Kerala Blasters. In November 2019, Dempo SC announced they had signed him.
