Modesto Méndez Amador (born 6 January 1998) is a Cuban footballer who plays as a defender for the Cuba national team. He was born in Pinar del Río, Cuba, and is 1.88 meters tall.

Club career
Méndez began his career with Pinar del Río in Cuba, where he played from 2015 to 2020. In 2020 he joined Inter Miami CF II in the United States, making 45 appearances and scoring 2 goals. In 2021 he was loaned to Charleston Battery for a short period, playing 1 game. He joined Inter Miami CF in 2022 but did not make any league appearances. In 2023 he moved to Hartford Athletic, appearing in 5 games. He signed with Lexington SC of USL League One in December 2023 and played 19 games in 2024 before being released after the season.

International career
Méndez made his debut for the Cuba national team on 8 June 2021, starting in a 1–0 World Cup qualifying win over Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. He has earned 13 caps for Cuba.
