Margaret Stuart (1598–1600) was the second daughter of King James VI of Scotland and Anne of Denmark. She was born at Dalkeith Castle on 24 December 1598, around 3:00 am.

Because the winter was very cold, her baptism was postponed until 18 April 1599 and held at Holyrood House with many nobles in attendance. After the baptism, Margaret and her sister Elizabeth were cared for at Linlithgow Palace by Lord Livingston, with Helena Crichton as their wet nurse.

In March 1600, Margaret became ill with an unknown disease. Doctors tried medicines but she died in March at Linlithgow Palace, aged about one year. Her body was embalmed and prepared for burial, and she was privately buried in Holyrood Abbey, Edinburgh. Three years later, her father became King of England as James I.
