Kornél Szűcs
Kornél Szűcs (born 24 September 2001) is a Hungarian professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Plymouth Argyle in England's EFL League One and the Hungary national team. He was born in Miskolc, Hungary, and is 1.90 m tall.
Szűcs came through the Diósgyőr youth system and played for their senior team, also appearing for Diósgyőr II and on loan at Kazincbarcika. He then spent the 2023-24 season with Kecskemét. On 5 August 2024, he signed for Plymouth Argyle for an undisclosed fee, and has made 54 league appearances for the club as of January 2026.
Internationally, Szűcs has represented Hungary at U17, U18 and U19 levels, and made his senior debut on 14 October 2024 in a 2-0 Nations League win against Bosnia and Herzegovina, coming on as a late substitute.
