Moderate objectivism
Moderate objectivism in ethics builds on the ideas of Sir William David Ross (1877–1940). It keeps core elements of Natural Law Theory. Ross described these moral rules as “prima facie principles”: they are valid guidelines we should normally follow, but when they clash with another principle, the more important one can override them. This is what gives moderate objectivism its balanced, flexible approach to moral decision making.
