Minhajul Arfin Azad is an Indian politician and farmer from the Trinamool Congress. He has been a member of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly for Chakulia since May 2021. Previously, he served as Block President of Goalpokhar II for the Trinamool Congress and was a member of the Uttar Dinajpur Zilla Parishad from 2013 to 2018. He was born around 1971 in the village of Kariat, Chakulia, in Uttar Dinajpur district. His father is Atiur Rahman Azad. He is married to Julesha Khatoon and lives in Kariat, Chakulia. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Geography in 2001 from Bhupendra Narayan Mandal University in Madhepura, Bihar. In the 2021 election, he won the Chakulia seat with 49.78% of the vote, while his nearest rival, Sachin Prasad of the BJP, received 30.26%.
