Daniel Berger (golfer)
Daniel Berger is an American professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. Born on April 7, 1993, in Plantation, Florida, he began playing golf at age 10 and developed his game in Florida.
College and turning pro
Berger played college golf at Florida State University, where he won several events and led the ACC in scoring. He earned multiple All-American honors and decided to turn professional in 2013 at age 20. He joined the Web.com Tour briefly before moving up to the PGA Tour for the 2014–15 season.
PGA Tour highlights
Berger has won four PGA Tour events. He captured the FedEx St. Jude Classic in 2016 and again in 2017, then won the Charles Schwab Challenge in 2020—the first Tour event after the COVID-19 hiatus. In 2021, he won the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am with a final-round eagle.
Major and team appearances
Berger has had solid finishes in majors, including a top-10 at the Masters (T10 in 2016), a T12 at the PGA Championship (2018), a T6 at the U.S. Open (2018), and a T8 at The Open (2021). He was part of the U.S. Ryder Cup team in 2021, contributing on a winning side.
