Ariel Chang
Ariel Chang, also known as Ngalim Tiunn (張雅琳), is a Taiwanese children's rights activist and politician. She has been a member of the Legislative Yuan (Taiwan’s parliament) since February 1, 2024, representing the national at-large constituency for the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP).
She was born on August 29, 1980, in Taipei County. She holds a BA from National Taiwan Ocean University and an MA in communication, public relations, and advertising from Ulster University. Before entering politics, she worked in public relations for Sanofi, Acuvue, and Mondelez, and led the organization Taiwan Parks and Playgrounds for Children by Children.
Chang was third on the DPP’s party-list for proportional representation in the 2024 elections. She has said she hopes the government will consider children’s needs in policymaking.
