Minatec is a research complex in Grenoble, France, focused on micro and nanotechnology. It opened in June 2006 as a partnership between LETI (the Electronics and Information Technologies Laboratory of the French Atomic Energy Commission) and Grenoble Institute of Technology. The site already housed LETI, a leading center for applied microelectronics and nanotechnology. Minatec brings together a research campus, companies, researchers, and engineering schools to help turn new ideas into energy and communications technologies. The campus supports about 3,000 researchers, 1,200 students, and 600 technology-transfer experts on 20 hectares, with 10,000 square meters of cleanroom space.

The complex offers a continuum from student technology transfer to industry and applied research. It features dedicated event facilities, including 900 square meters of space, 20-person conference rooms, and a 400-seat amphitheater used for major events like the international conference held every two years. Minatec includes fundamental labs such as INAC and FMNT, a major technological lab (Leti), and collaborates with nearby Institut Néel and RTRA. The project cost about 193.5 million euros (2002–2005), funded mainly by local authorities and the CEA.
