M6 Music is a French music video channel owned by Groupe M6. Based in Neuilly-sur-Seine, it launched on 5 March 1998 as the second music channel after Fun TV, created to boost the TPS satellite bouquet and compete with MCM on CanalSatellite.

In 2003 the CSA gave M6 Music a license to broadcast on DTT. M6 planned to launch its DTT channel as W9, while M6 Music was split into two pay channels—M6 Music Rock and M6 Music Black—on 10 January 2005. When W9 launched on 31 March 2005, M6 Music became M6 Music Hits. Fun TV closed on 31 December 2008, and M6 Music Rock was replaced by M6 Music Club on 20 January 2009. On 1 June 2012 M6 Music Hits returned to the M6 Music brand after a track by Orelsan. In late 2012 an interactive service, M6 Music Player, launched on Canalsat; an app followed in 2014. On 4 January 2015 the other sister channels were shut down, and in December 2015 M6 Music Player was replaced by a M6 Music section on the 6play service. In 2018 the channel celebrated 20 years with a concert and a new logo. In 2020 branding was refreshed by Gédéon for both M6 Music and M6. M6 Music is also the name of the night-time music program on M6.
