Michalovice Castle

Michalovice Castle is a ruined Gothic castle near the Jizera River in Central Bohemia, Czech Republic. It lies about 3 kilometers northwest of the town of Mladá Boleslav. The castle was built in the late 13th century by the Markvartice family to replace an earlier manor house. It fell into decay in the 15th century. In the 19th century, the remains were undermined, leaving the ruins today.
