Michael Printup
Michael Printup (1965–2026) was an American motorsport executive. He was born in Hamburg, New York, studied mathematics at SUNY Fredonia, and joined International Speedway Corporation in 2000. He worked at Michigan International Speedway, led Americrown (ISC’s food service at twelve NASCAR tracks), and helped manage the NASCAR-Levy Restaurants contract.
In 2009, Printup became president of Watkins Glen International, where he oversaw track changes, the circuit’s reopening after COVID-19 restrictions, and broader growth for the venue. He accompanied New York Governor Andrew Cuomo on a track visit in 2013. He left Watkins Glen in 2023 to lead Parella Motorsports Holdings (which later became Racing America) as president of the Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SVRA).
In January 2024, he was promoted to chief operating officer of Racing America, overseeing all racing operations including SVRA and the Trans-Am Series. He was married with two children. His death was announced on January 1, 2026, at age 60.
