Neoserica ovata
Neoserica ovata is a small beetle in the Scarabaeidae family, found in Sabah, Malaysia. It was described by Moser in 1915. Adults are about 7 mm long and have a dull blackish-brown upper side with a lighter underside. The head area has few tiny pits, and the antennae are yellowish-brown. The pronotum behind the head is covered with many tiny punctures bearing bristles. The wing covers (elytra) are somewhat grooved and irregularly punctured, with the punctures bearing tiny hairs.
