Michael Moore Live
Michael Moore Live is a 1999 TV show with political activist Michael Moore. It was a six-part series that aired on Channel 4 and was shown only in the United Kingdom, though it was filmed from New York. The show mixed Moore’s style from The Awful Truth with phone-ins and a weekly live stunt. It was taped around 7 pm local time, which meant it aired late in the UK because EST is five hours behind GMT. UK viewers could call in to ask about American issues of the day, such as gun control and the Kosovo war. Each episode featured guests, and one regular was Nigel, an illegal immigrant in the USA from the UK (his real name was James Horne) who wore a rubber Queen Elizabeth II mask to hide his identity.
