"Maybe" is a song by American singer Toni Braxton from her third album, The Heat (2000). It was released to urban adult contemporary radio in the United States on February 6, 2001, as the album's fourth and final single. The track is 3 minutes and 8 seconds long and is an R&B song. It was written by Toni Braxton, Keith Crouch, John Smith, Mechallie Jamison, and Samuel Gause, and produced by Keith Crouch and Braxton. The music video, directed by Chris Robinson, was never released because Braxton felt it was too risqué. The concept shows Braxton arriving home from the 2001 Grammy Awards after winning Best Female R&B Vocal Performance for "He Wasn't Man Enough" and beginning to undress while someone watches. A clip from the unreleased video later appeared on Braxton's DVD "From Toni with Love," and a shortened version surfaced on a TV program and YouTube alongside the unreleased video for "The Heat."
