Michael J. Whitley

Michael J. Whitley (died 2000) was an American naval historian who specialized in the Kriegsmarine, the German Navy of World War II. He wrote and compiled several reference works on warships. He was the son of Herbert and Marguerite Whitley and was married to Rita. Whitley died in a diving accident in 2000.
