Vice Ganda
Vice Ganda, born Jose Marie Borja Viceral on March 31, 1976 in Tondo, Manila, is a Filipino comedian, actor, host, and singer. Known for his sharp observational humor about everyday life, Filipino culture, and LGBTQ topics, he is one of the Philippines’ most successful entertainers. He has been a main host on ABS-CBN’s noontime show It’s Showtime since 2009 and has starred in many of the country’s highest-grossing films, such as Petrang Kabayo (2010), The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin (2011), Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy (2013), The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin (2014), Beauty and the Bestie (2015), Fantastica (2018), The Mall, the Merrier (2019), Partners in Crime (2022), and And the Breadwinner Is... (2024).
Beyond acting, he has released music albums, launched his own cosmetics line Vice Cosmetics (2017), and even owned a volleyball team, Vice Co. Blockbusters (2018). He identifies as non-binary and is comfortable with masculine or feminine pronouns. He has been in a relationship with Ion Perez since 2018, with a commitment ceremony held in Las Vegas in 2021.
Vice Ganda is also known for his charity work and LGBTQ advocacy, supporting disaster relief, frontliners during the COVID-19 pandemic, and pushing for the SOGIE Equality Bill. He remains a major figure in Philippine entertainment and LGBTQ representation.
