Mesopotamian Social Sciences Academy is a co-educational university in Qamishli, in the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria. It opened in 2013 and offers courses in criticism and self-criticism, the democratic system, and the Kurdish language. The school year has three terms, each lasting 3–4 months. The curriculum focuses mainly on history and sociology and also includes Jineology. Most teaching is in Kurdish. Early in its history, the academy organized a book donation drive, with donations from groups such as AK Press.
