Aya Sawan Jhoom Ke (The Monsoon Came Dancing) is a 1969 Indian Hindi film directed by Raghunath Jhalani. It stars Dharmendra, Asha Parekh, Nazir Hussain, Nirupa Roy, Bindu, Aruna Irani, and Rajindernath. The music is by Laxmikant Pyarelal with lyrics by Anand Bakshi. The film was a box-office hit.

Plot:
Maya, a housemaid, kills her master in self-defense when he tries to molest her. She leaves her baby at a temple, where a priest finds the child and hands him to a wealthy couple who wish for a child. They raise the boy as Jaishankar.

As Jaishankar grows up, he runs his father’s business and falls in love with Aarti. He goes to meet her father to discuss marriage and accidentally kills him. Feeling guilty, he tries to help Aarti and her siblings but hides that he caused the death.

Aarti learns the truth and also sees Jaishankar with Rita, a cabaret dancer. The family disowns Jaishankar, and he is later arrested for Rita’s death. It turns out he was saving his sister’s husband Rajesh and was being blackmailed by Rita.

In the end, it is revealed that Rita’s real husband shot her for cheating and greed.
