Mervyn Lakin

Mervyn George Lakin (9 November 1888 – 19 June 1954) was an Australian politician from Tasmania. He was born in Launceston. In May 1954 he was elected as an independent member for Mersey in the Tasmanian Legislative Council. He died in June 1954, only a short time after his election, making his term one of the shortest in the Council’s history.
