Kostanay District (Kazakh: Қостанай ауданы, Qostanai audany) is a district in Kostanay Region in eastern Kazakhstan. The administrative center is the urban-type settlement of Tobyl. The district is governed by Akim Olzhas Nurgaliyev. In 2013, about 68,914 people lived there (67,512 in 2009, 65,435 in 1999). Time zone: UTC+5. Location coordinates: 53.2100°N, 63.6200°E.
