Egyptian Second Division 2005–06
The season involved 40 teams, split into three geographical groups: Group A, Group B, and Group C. Each group ran its own competition. The winner of each group earned promotion to the Egyptian Premier League for the next season. The bottom teams in each group were relegated to a lower division.
