Masahiro Shimizu
Masahiro Shimizu is a Japanese former Grand Prix motorcycle racer. He was born on November 22, 1964, in Fujisawa, Kanagawa Prefecture. He won the 1987 All Japan 250cc Road Race Championship.
Shimizu competed in the Grand Prix circuit from 1987 to 1992 with Honda. He started 73 races, earned 9 podiums and 1 pole, and finished with 497 championship points. His best season came in 1991 when he finished fifth in the 250cc World Championship on a Honda. His first Grand Prix race was the 1987 250cc Japanese Grand Prix, and his last was the 1992 250cc South African Grand Prix.
