Martin Morin
Martin Morin was a French printer in Rouen who worked on incunables from about 1490 to 1518. He was probably born near Orbec around 1450 and died in Rouen around 1522. He learned the trade in the Rhine region, sent there by the Rouen family Lallemant with Pierre Maufer, and later became a printer and bookseller in Rouen. In 1492 he printed the Breviarium Sarum (Breviarium Saresberiense) for Salisbury, which is said to be the first liturgical book printed for the English market. The British Library’s Incunabula Short Title Catalogue lists 34 of his works. Additional works are noted in Édouard Frère’s Manuel du bibliographe normand, Volume 2.
