Cargojet Inc. is a scheduled cargo airline based in Mississauga, Ontario. It operates domestic and international cargo services and full aircraft charters, with its main base at John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport. The company has about 1,650 employees and a fleet of 41 aircraft, serving 16 destinations. Its headquarters are at 2281 North Sheridan Way, Mississauga. The IATA code is W8, the ICAO code is CJT, and the callsign is CARGOJET. It is listed on the TSX as CJT. Canada’s AOC is 11674 and the United States’ AOC is W29F899F.

History and leadership: In August 2001, Ajay Virmani formed Canada 3000 Cargo Inc., a joint venture with Canada 3000 Airlines. In 2002, Virmani acquired 100% of the company and renamed it Cargojet Canada Ltd. The same year it bought Winnport Logistics. cargojet became a public company in 2005. In May 2019, Drake was named a brand ambassador.

Operations network: Cargojet runs a domestic schedule to 15 Canadian destinations and an international network that includes Bermuda, Cuba, Germany, Japan, Mexico, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Its hubs are Hamilton (the main base) with secondary hubs in Calgary, Montréal–Mirabel, Vancouver, and Winnipeg.

Recent developments: In December 2025, Cargojet signed an interline agreement with Uzbekistan-based My Freighter Airlines to boost Central Asia–North America connectivity via Europe. On January 12, 2021, the company announced plans to add more Boeing 767F and 777F aircraft, but on January 15, 2024 it said it would not take delivery of four B777s due to softer cargo demand.
