Marston Lake is a man-made reservoir in Denver, Colorado. It is owned by Denver Water and was completed in 1902. Water from the lake goes to the Marston treatment plant, then to people in Denver. The lake mainly gets its water from the South Platte River, which in turn receives water from the Colorado mountains through the Roberts Tunnel, a transmountain diversion. The climate around Marston Lake is cold semi-arid (BSk). The hottest temperature recorded there was 104°F (40°C) on July 18, 1998, and the coldest was -19°F (-28°C) on December 31, 2014. The lake sits at about 5,525 feet above sea level and holds about 19,795 acre-feet of water (roughly 24.4 million cubic meters).
