Hatyara (1998 film)
Hatyara is a 1998 Indian Hindi crime film directed by T. L. V. Prasad. It stars Mithun Chakraborty in a double role, with Suman Ranganathan and Swathi (in her Bollywood debut) in supporting roles. The story follows Professor Kajal, who witnesses the rape and murder of a student by the brother of gangster Singhania. The police won’t act due to Singhania’s influence. Kajal’s husband, a disabled advocate named Mahendra, fights the case in court. After Kajal refuses to withdraw the charges, Singhania’s gang rapes and murders her. Mahendra then teams up with his lookalike brother Surya to exact revenge, killing Singhania’s gang one by one before surrendering to the police. The film released on 15 May 1998 and runs about 135 minutes.
