Tonight's the Night (TV series)
Tonight's the Night is a British light entertainment TV show that aired on BBC One from 18 April 2009 to 3 December 2011. It was hosted by actor and singer John Barrowman.
The program centers on making ordinary people’s wishes come true. Members of the public are nominated by friends who think they have a hidden talent or a special reason to appear. Barrowman and various celebrity guests help these people realise their dreams, while the studio audience also gets involved and Barrowman surprises members on the night.
The show has a style reminiscent of classic 1980s entertainment, such as Surprise, Surprise and Jim'll Fix It. A short Doctor Who sketch aired on 23 May 2009, with Barrowman reprising his role as Jack Harkness and David Tennant appearing as himself.
There were 3 series and a total of 22 episodes. Run times were about 60 minutes for 2009 and 2011 episodes, and 50 minutes in 2010.
