Mark Odhiambo
Mark Otieno Odhiambo (born May 11, 1993) is a Kenyan sprinter who competes mainly in the 100 metres and 200 metres. He grew up in Kajiado County and trains under South African coach Andrew Kock. He has won several Kenyan national titles in the 100 metres and has represented Kenya at major international events, including the 2017 World Championships and the 2020 Tokyo Olympics (held in 2021).
Odhiambo’s career highlights include reaching the semifinals and posting strong times in the 100m and 200m at the World Championships in London (2017), competing at the African Games (2015) and African Championships (2016), and running in the 4×200 metres relay at the World Relays (2015) where he helped Kenya win a silver medal in 2021 in Silesia. He qualified for the Tokyo Games after posting a personal best of 10.05 seconds in the 100m. In 2024, he ran 10.42 seconds to earn selection for the World Relays in Nassau, finished second in the Kenyan national 100m final with 10.37 seconds, and ended the season with a best of 10.12 seconds, making him the second-fastest Kenyan sprinter behind Ferdinand Omanyala.
