Kızılcahamam–Çerkeş Tunnel
Kızılcahamam–Çerkeş Tunnel is a highway tunnel in central Turkey, connecting Kızılcahamam in Ankara Province with Çerkeş in Çankırı Province. The tunnel is 2,071 meters long and is owned by the General Directorate of Highways. It opened on February 27, 2021 and is currently in operation. The tunnel makes travel safer and more comfortable in winter, thanks to the challenging high, sloping terrain. It shortens the route by about 2.4 kilometers and cuts travel time from roughly 15 minutes to about 3 minutes.
