MECCA Court is a pop-art basketball floor designed by American artist Robert Indiana. It was the home court for the Milwaukee Bucks and Marquette men’s basketball.

In 1977, Indiana discussed with Steve Marcus the idea of painting a special floor for Milwaukee. The Bucks played their first game on the new floor on October 4, 1977, against the Chicago Bulls, and their first regular-season game on October 18, 1977, against the Los Angeles Lakers.

When the Bucks and Marquette moved to the Bradley Center, the MECCA floor was put into storage and largely forgotten.

In 2010, Bucks fans Andy Gorzalski, Jim Paschke, and John Steinmiller emailed Ben Koller and teamed up with Robert Indiana to reconstruct and re-exhibit the floor.

On August 23, 2013, the MECCA Floor returned and inspired the Bucks to redesign their home court for the 2013-14 season based on the original design.

On October 26, 2017, the Bucks announced they would play on the MECCA Floor in a game against the Boston Celtics to honor the franchise’s 50th NBA anniversary.

In 2014, ESPN announced a 30 for 30 film about the MECCA floor.

During the 2018-19 season, the Bucks wore City Edition uniforms featuring the MECCA floor design.
