Marcus Butler
Marcus Lloyd Butler (born 18 December 1991) is an English model and former YouTuber who built a large online following with his channels, Marcus Butler TV and Just Marcus.
Early life and education
He was born in Shoreham-by-Sea, England, and attended Shoreham College.
Career highlights
Butler started his online career in college, making music and sports video edits. In 2010 he launched the YouTube channel Marcus Butler TV after receiving requests from viewers. He later expanded with his second channel, Just Marcus.
He published a book in 2015 called Hello Life!, part autobiography and part self-help. He also co-hosted a BBC Radio 1 show with fellow YouTuber Alfie Deyes.
Butler collaborated with many other creators, including Zoë Sugg, Joe Sugg, Jim Chapman, Caspar Lee, and Conor Maynard, among others. He was part of a “YouTube Boyband” created to raise money for Comic Relief.
Media appearances
Butler has appeared on television and in live shows. He was in episodes of Release the Hounds with Joe Sugg and Alfie Deyes, and he has several appearances on Saturday Night Takeaway. In 2016 he was a contestant on Celebrity MasterChef, finishing in the quarterfinals. In 2017 he appeared on Good Morning Britain to share tips on becoming a successful YouTuber.
Music
In January 2016 he released a song with Conor Maynard called “I’m Famous,” which charted in the UK.
Later developments
In 2022 Butler joined the content subscription service OnlyFans.
Online presence
Butler's YouTube channels have drawn millions of subscribers and views, making him one of the well-known figures in the online creator community.
