Bobby Williams (Scottish footballer)
Bobby Williams, full name Robert Williams, was a Scottish professional footballer who played as a right half for Airdrieonians from 1910 to 1916. He made 114 league appearances and scored 10 goals. Born in Ayrshire, Scotland, Williams joined the Royal Scots Fusiliers in February 1916 during World War I and was killed on the Western Front on 31 August 1916. He is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial.
