Marcelo Lopes de Faria, known as Marcelo Lopes, is a Brazilian former football defender born on May 17, 1975 in Tuneiras do Oeste, Brazil. He is 1.81 meters tall. He began his career with Cianorte and played for several Brazilian clubs, including União São João (1993–1995, 37 appearances, 2 goals), Mogi Mirim, Santo André, XV de Piracicaba, and Mirassol. In 2005 he played for Fortaleza (16 appearances, 1 goal). He also spent time with Guarani (2007–2008), Cianorte (2008), Marcílio Dias (2008), Guarany de Sobral (2009), and Potiguar de Mossoró. He competed in Brazil’s Serie A with União São João and Fortaleza, and in the Potiguar league with Potiguar de Mossoró.
