Brittany Hayes
Brittany Hayes, born February 7, 1985, in Orange County, California, is an American water polo player and attorney. She won a silver medal with the U.S. women's team at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Hayes grew up in Tustin and attended Foothill High School, where she won four CIF titles and was CIF Co-Player of the Year as a senior; she was also the Seaview League MVP in her sophomore through senior years. She played college water polo at USC, helping the Trojans win the 2004 NCAA Championship and earning the NCAA Tournament MVP award that year; she was a Peter J. Cutino Award Finalist in 2004 and 2005. Hayes later earned a graduate degree from UC Irvine and attended Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. She now works as a workers’ compensation attorney in Orange County. She was on the U.S. national team that won gold at the 2007 World Championships in Melbourne and also competed in the 2009 World Championships in Rome.
